Eligibility
You are eligible for Canada Student Loan forgiveness if you are enrolled in full-time or part-time studies and are currently repaying your student loan. You are eligible for forgiveness of $8,000 per year to a maximum of $40,000 over five years. Nurses and nurse practitioners may be eligible for forgiveness of up to $20,000 over five years.
How to Apply
To apply for Canada Student Loan forgiveness, you must complete the application form and submit it to the National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC). The application form is available on the NSLSC website.
Deadline
The deadline to apply for Canada Student Loan forgiveness is December 31, 2023.
