Clarets Make Second Signing of the Summer
English Winger Signs Four-Year Deal at Turf Moor
Aaron Ramsey has joined Burnley from Aston Villa on a four-year deal, becoming the Clarets' second signing of the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old winger has signed a contract that runs until 2028 after impressing during a loan spell at Middlesbrough in the 2022-23 season, where he scored five goals in 11 matches.
Ramsey is a product of the Aston Villa academy and has represented England at youth level. He made his first-team debut for Villa in 2021 and has since made 22 appearances for the Premier League club.
Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is delighted to have secured the services of Ramsey, who he believes can add creativity and attacking threat to his team.
"Aaron is a young and exciting player with a bright future ahead of him," said Kompany. "He has shown his quality at Middlesbrough and I am confident that he can make a positive contribution to our team."
Ramsey is looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Premier League with Burnley.
