Caleb Martin Signs Three-Year, $41.9 Million Contract with Charlotte Hornets

Extension Includes Player Option for Final Year

Sixers reportedly targetted Martin in free agency

The Charlotte Hornets have signed free agent forward Caleb Martin to a three-year, $41.9 million contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The deal includes a player option for the final year.

Martin, 26, is coming off a breakout season with the Miami Heat, where he averaged 9.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. He started 13 games for Miami and played a key role in their run to the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Hornets reportedly targeted Martin in free agency, seeing him as a versatile wing who can provide scoring, rebounding, and defense. He is expected to play a significant role for Charlotte, who are looking to improve their record from last season.

Martin's signing is the first major move for the Hornets in free agency. The team has also been linked to other free agents, including Montrezl Harrell and TJ Warren.
